Who We Are

Our Values

Fifteen convictions that shape how we worship, serve, relate, and live.

15 Core Values

Values aren't rules — they're convictions

These fifteen statements represent more than a list on a wall — they are the heartbeat of our community. They shape how we pray, how we love our families, how we welcome the stranger, and how we engage the city of Karlskrona. Read each one slowly.

Featured Values

Pursuit of God

We exist first and foremost to seek the face of God — through prayer, worship, fasting, and the study of His Word. Everything flows from an intimate and growing relationship with the living God.

Matt 22:37Ps 42:1–2Jer 29:13

Christlikeness

The goal of the Christian life is to be conformed to the image of Christ — in character, compassion, and conduct. We pursue ongoing transformation by the Spirit, not merely behaviour modification.

Rom 8:292 Cor 3:18Gal 2:20

Unity

We are one Body with many members — diverse in background, language, and gifting, yet united in Christ. We actively pursue unity, resolve conflict biblically, and refuse to let division take root among us.

Ps 133:1Eph 4:3–6John 17:20–23

Gospel Evangelism

We are compelled by the love of Christ to share the Good News — in Karlskrona, in Sweden, and to the ends of the earth. Every believer is a witness, and every relationship is a mission field.

Matt 28:18–20Acts 1:8Rom 1:16

All Values

Servant Leadership

We lead by serving, following the model of Jesus who came not to be served but to serve and give His life. True leadership in the Kingdom is measured not by position but by how much we lay down for others.

Mark 10:42–45Phil 2:5–8John 13:14–15

Mercy

We believe that those who have received God's mercy are called to show mercy — to the hurting, the broken, the outcast, and the stranger. Mercy is the heartbeat of the Gospel expressed in daily life.

Matt 5:7Mic 6:8Luke 10:36–37

Godly Family Life

We value the family as the foundational unit of God's design — honoring marriage, raising children in the fear of the Lord, and building homes where faith is lived and faith is passed on.

Eph 5:22–6:4Ps 127:1Deut 6:6–7

Giving

Generosity is a mark of grace. We believe in cheerful, proportional, and sacrificial giving — of finances, time, gifts, and ourselves — as an act of worship and a means through which God's Kingdom advances.

2 Cor 9:6–7Luke 21:1–4Mal 3:10

Marital Fidelity

We uphold marriage as the lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, reflecting Christ's faithful love for the Church. We are committed to guarding, strengthening, and honouring this covenant in our community.

Gen 2:24Eph 5:25–33Heb 13:4

Integrity

We are called to be the same in private as in public — honest in speech, faithful in commitments, and transparent in dealings. Integrity is not a policy; it is a character conviction that protects the witness of Christ.

Prov 11:3Ps 15:1–22 Cor 8:21

Purposeful Singleness

We celebrate singleness as a God-given season of focused devotion, fruitfulness, and service — not a state of incompleteness. Whether temporary or lifelong, singleness is honoured in this community.

1 Cor 7:32–35Matt 19:12Ps 68:6

Church as Body of Christ

We believe the local church is not a building, a programme, or a social club — it is the Body of Christ on earth. Every member is essential, every gift is needed, and every gathering matters for the health of the whole.

1 Cor 12:12–27Eph 4:15–16Col 1:18

Simplicity

We resist the pull of materialism and complexity. A simple life — marked by contentment, gratitude, and freedom from the tyranny of things — makes room for what matters most: God, people, and mission.

Matt 6:19–21Phil 4:11–131 Tim 6:6–8

Individual Members

Every person who walks through our doors matters — not as a number in a congregation, but as an image-bearer known by name. We are committed to no one being invisible, overlooked, or uncared for in this family.

Luke 15:4–7Gal 3:281 Pet 2:9

Modesty

True beauty is rooted in character, not appearance. We embrace modesty in dress, speech, and lifestyle — not as religious performance but as an overflow of reverence for God and respect for others.

1 Tim 2:9–101 Pet 3:3–4Prov 31:30

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.”

— Colossians 3:23–24 (KJV)
